Comment: | CARE is a registered charity that provides vital day-to-day support for people with learning disabilities. By offering a variety of accommodation options and a flexible approach to housing, they are able to work with people to access their preferred choice with an appropriate support package. Their wide variety of day services provides opportunities to experience a range of activities, both therapeutic and educational, leading to work placement.
Coaching caters for all proficiency levels, from sessions to improve dexterity and nurture everyday life skills, through to accredited training, such as NVQ's. Social activities, including the pursuit of interests and hobbies, are positively encouraged.
They operate from eight regional hubs in Kent, Lancashire, Leicestershire, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, North Devon, Shropshire, West Sussex and Wiltshire. Each hub, in turn, supports a network of services and group homes that caters for around five hundred service users, either resident or using a support service on a daily basis. |
