Organisation: Salters Hill Charity

Comment:

Salters Hill Charity aims to help young adults with learning disabilities, living in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, by providing homes where residents and tenants can lead an independent and fulfilling life. The first home was founded at Pound Farm in Gorsley. This provides fourteen places where residents enjoy a communal, village life, participating in creative arts and crafts, and undertaking work for local employers. Ryelands is the second property and allows young people even more independence than at Pound Farm. A thirrd house, Keepers Cottage, provides for eight people and is located near Ledbury.
The charity also supports people in their own tenancies and has an active day care service which can be accessed not only by the people currently supported but also by others living in the community.
Referrals are through Social Worker, GP, self-referral, health professional or significant other referral. Referrals and requests for information preferred during office hours, but messages can be taken at all othr times.
