Comment:

The River Thames Boat Project has a specially adapted eighty six foot Dutch barge - the "Venturer" - accessible to people with disabilities. It is spacious and well equipped with a galley, bunks, a lift, accessible lavatories and a variety of information and educational resources about the Thames, and is moored close to Kingston town centre. From there, voyages can be made up river to Windsor, or downstream through the bridges of London.
The Project, believed to be the only organisation of its kind operating on the Thames is unique in offering:
Accessing the Thames - day and residential cruises tailored to the interests and needs of disabled people.
School on the River - key stage 2 environmental education activities for school groups.
Living and Learning Afloat - life skills and personal development training for young people.
