Organisation:Bream Voluntary Car Service

Comment:

Bream Voluntary Car Service assists people who need to attend medical appointments e.g hospitals, dentist. It is for the elderly and infirm, and anyone who is unable to make their appointment by any other means. They also offer transport to single mums with young children. The areas covered are: Bream, St.Brivals, Brockhollands, Whitecroft, Parkend, Pillowell, Yorkley, Viney Hill, Sling, Milkwall, Gorsty Knool and Clearwell. They also give transport to anyone who is registered under Yorkley Health Centre, regardless of where they live. Anybody wishing to book an appointment should normally give at least forty eight hours notice. The drivers always take passengers exactly where they need to go, and will always wait to bring them home again. To help Carers, they provide transport to a local Day Cnetre for those suffering with Alzheimer's. They also provide transport for Young Carers, although this is usally for social events (please ring for fees as special rates apply).
