The Supported Lodgings Scheme offers people with a diagnosis of mental health problems the opportunity to live in accommodation which offers support and acknowledges the difficulties experiences in every day living. The amount of support varies according to the needs of the individual - the Accommodation Placement Support Officer is there to help you choose the most appropriate. There are various types of accommodation - for example, there are ten group homes within Gloucestershire, four in the West of the county and six in the East. Each home caters for two or three people and provides residences in the community. Whatever accommodation is provided, you will always have a single lockable bedroom. The office for the west of the county is as shown, in Nettleton Road, Gloucester; there is also an Accommodation Team in Cheltenham at the Rehabilitation Office, The Charlton Lane Centre, Charlton Lane, Cheltenham GL53 9DZ (Tel. 01242-272161). Addresses of the accommodation available and group homes cannot generally be released.
