Comment: | Colliers Court Assessment Unit has twenty five beds for people with severe disabilities associated with dementia and/or a profound mental illness, acute functional illness, those requiring a mental health assessment, or specialist intermittent care. The multi-disciplinary team have created a caring environment in which clients are encouraged to be as independent as possible with an emphasis on person centred care and recovery programmes. This service is also available for those under sixty five presenting with a primary dementia, and is supported by the Day Hospital and Community Mental Health Service.
The unit is open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.
Please note: the unit is currently (March 2007) under threat of closure; number of beds has been cut to ten pending a decision. |
