Comment:

Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board (GSCB) works for all children and young people in Gloucestershire, whatever their circumstances, particularly those who are most vulnerable and at risk of harm, to protect them from abuse and neglect. It will:
+ provide the framework for agencies to work together to protect children and young people, within legal and procedural requirements;
+ seek to ensure provision of quality services to protect children from abuse and neglect and to promote their welfare;
+ aim to ensure children and young people receive the help they need to recover from abuse.

Gloucestershire ACPC will be child focused, will encourage communication, co-ordination and collaboration between agencies, and work in partnership with parents, whenever possible.
They recognise the role of communities, the voluntary sector and statutory agencies in protecting children, and work to raise awareness of relevant issues in order to prevent abuse and neglect of children and young people.
