Oakley Adult Opportunity Centre (AOC) provides day care for adults with learning disabilities. It is run as a needs led service, with activities being planned using information gathered through IPPS - Individual Programme Plans. Examples of current activities are:
++ swimming;
+ horse riding;
+ art;
+ relaxation;
+ cookery;
+ basic F.E;
+ use of public transport and community facilities.
Activities are reviewed and changed according to the needs of users. Users also have access to specialist services where appropriate, i.e. speech therapy, physiotherapy etc.
