Matson Neighbourhood Project provides support and resources for the local community, community groups and self help agencies. Two Advice Offices are based at the One Stop Shop, Matson Avenue (where the Youth Worker is based) and the Matson Resource Centre, Matson Lane and are now open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 12:30pm. The Resource Centre has electricity and gas tokens and the facility to pay all council rents, council tax, utility bills and TV licences. For those who have or have had mental health problems, there is a drop-in facility at the Matson Lane Centre, Monday and Friday, 10:00am to 4:00pm and Wednesday, 2:00 to 8:00pm (01452-521545 The Phoenix Club). The Jobs, Training and Education unit is based at the One Stop Shop, where staff will assist those looking for work. The shop also has racks of donated, good quality, children's clothes for sale. The project also offers a home visiting service and advice workers can help with benefits forms and advice on all aspects of welfare benefits, by appointment.
