Comment: | Hilltop is a four bedroomed respite care facility in Ruardean for adults with learning disabilities within the Forest of Dean area. This service enables both carers and the people themselves to have regular breaks away from their home and give families the opportunity to have a break or undertake activities and/or holidays of their own. It is important that whilst there, people are encouraged to make choices and to learn skills in preparation for periods of independent living.
Two beds provide permanent accomodation. Additionally an outreach Community Respite Service runs from Hilltop providing skilled staff who can offer daytime and evening respite care and also support clients in attending leisure activities. |
