This branch of the Multiiple Sclerosis Society (MSS) covers Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and the North Cotswolds. Members receive a monthly newsletter and there are regular meetings Prestbury Road Day Centre, Cheltenham (every second Saturday at 3.30pm). The branch Welfare Officer, Avril Hastings can arrange home visits, if required, to give information and advice on all aspects of multiple sclerosis. Help is available towards the cost of holidays or respite, special equipment and home adaptations. Hydrotherapy sessions take place every Thursday 11am - 1pm at the Cheshire Home Hydrotherapy Pool, Charlton lane, Cheltenham. Also, art classes every Tuesday (in term time) 10.30am - 12.30pm at the Voluntary Resource Centre, Bath Road, Cheltenham. Accessible transport can be provided on request to branch meetings ,through other members. Meetings for younger people with MS and other special interest groups are also arranged. The annual subscription for members is £5. Various publications dealing with different aspects of MS are available via the Society Head Office or from the local Branch.
