Comment:

The NHFA public advice and information service is available to all regardless of means and combines specialist financial advice with the many other issues older people and their families should consider when obtaining and paying for care. Topics include local authority charging and assessment procedures, health authority responsibilities, DWP benefits and legal matters. NHFA's local advisors provide specialist financial advice aiming to enable older people to meet the cost of Nursing Home or Residential care fees whilst also preserving as much of their original capital as possible. They also produce Long Term Care Guides and factsheets.
Free Training on long-term care funding is available for Care Managers and Care Professionals - contact Diana Roberts on 01865-733000 for more information.
