Comment: | The Tenovus Cancer Information Centre (TCIC) provides a freephone Cancer Helpline on 0808-808-1010. This is answered by a team of cancer nurses, medical social workers and trained counsellors. It offers:
emotional support, telephone and one to one counselling;
information on cancer, prevention, screening, treatment and on-going care;
details of cancer services and resources available;
information and guidance on personal and family problems.
There is also a Hospital Support Service offered via Support Nurses in the Outpatients Depts of local Hospitals in South Wales. |
