Comment:

The Vitiligo Society is a registered charity offering support and advice to people with vitiligo, a skin condition in which patches of skin turn white through loss of pigment. It is estimated that there are over half a million people with vitiligo in the UK. Although it is neither painful nor infectious, many people who develop it find the experience socially and psychologically devastating. The Society aims to provide information and education about the condition and to encourage and fund research. Members receive information leaflets, and a quarterly newsletter.
