The Scoliosis Association UK (SAUK) is the only independent support group for people with scoliosis. Its aims are:
to put people with scoliosis in touch with each other if they so wish;
to make available to parents of children with scoliosis the experience of others;
to increase public awareness of scoliosis and to emphasise the importance of early detection of the condition.
They have Regional Secretaries, and a newsletter entitled "Backbone" which is printed twice a year.
