Organisation:Overeaters Anonymous

Comment:

Overeaters Anonymous is a self help group for people with all types of eating disorder. It is not a diet club, people are not weighed and no fees are charged. Regular meetings are held for group sharing offering identification, acceptance and complete anonymity. By adopting certain spiritual principles, based on those of Alcoholics Anonymous, they remedy the underlying causes of the illness and the symptoms are relieved. There are currently onehundred and twenty three groups in mainland GB. To locate nearest group, write, enclosing a SAE or telephone the helpline. Currently one group meets Thursdays 7:30pm, at the Vaughan Centre, 159 Southgate Street, Gloucester (Contact Claire on 07891-677685) . Another group meets Saturdays 10:15am at Barnsley Village Hall, Cirencester (Contact Anna Kate on 01285-740126)
