Gingerbread is a support organisation for all lone parents and their children; it campaigns for a better standard of living for single parents. It has a freephone Advice Line, operating Monday to Friday, from 10:00am to 12:00 and 1:00 to 3:00pm, offering information and advice on subjects such as benefits, childcare, the CSA, contact, divorce, returning to work, housing, maternity rights, lone parenthood, and holidays. There is also a network of self-help groups across the country, providing meeting places for friendship and support.
