The British Sjogren's Syndrome Association (BSSA) is a national support group for individuals affected by Sjogren's Syndrome (SS). The aims of the BSSA are:
(1) to educate patients and health care professionals about Sjogrens Syndrome;
(2) to give members an opportunity to share their ways of coping;
(3) to increase awareness of the disease in the medical and dental professions and among the general public;
(4) to support research into the causes and treatment of SS.
A quarterly newsletter is sent to members, and a wide range of literature is available to purchase. The Association also has a network of fifteen regional support groups throughout the UK..
