Comment: | This Neighbourhood Project provides a wide range of services to the people living in the Whaddon, Lynworth and Priors areas of Cheltenham. All advice services are free and confidential. They deal with issues such as health, benefits, housing, adult education, training, employment and much more. A Neighbourhood College, with an NVQ Level III trained worker, provides employment and career Information, Advice and Guidance
A varied range of courses are run through the College - IT, NVQ's, arts and crafts, etc. They are an accredited OCN and OCR learning centre providing training towards a range of qualifications. The college is designed to provide an alternative to mainstream education, with priority to local residents and with an emphasis on life long learning.
There is a Health Resource Centre providing massage and support to stop smoking with NRT replacement support, and other services such as Fairshares, chiropody and acupuncture.
They also run half term and holiday playschemes and a weekly kids' computer club. |
