Organisation:Gloucester Open House (GEAR - Gloucester Emergency Accommodation Resource)

Comment:

Gloucester Open House night shelter exists to relieve street homelessness in Gloucester and its environs by providing a safe, secure and nurturing environment for homeless people. The Open House has a policy of not turning anyone away who presents themselves as homeless by providing a bed , if space is available. A homeless person is given a bed providing that they are prepared to treat other residents and staff as they would wish to be treated themselves. Open House is currently the only local scheme with direct access and aims to help anyone that is homeless and in need.
