The Scottish Sensory Centre (SSC)promotes and supports new developments and practices in the education of children andyoung people with visual, hearing or dual sensory impairment. Staff work with teachers, voluntary groups and parent groups, organise short courses and conferences, develop specialist modules for teachers, gather and disseminate information. SSC has a Resource Library with over three thousand books, videos and journals, mostly available for loan via the post. The SSC also runs the Sensory Impairment Service Database.
