Comment: | Ricability (Research Institute for Consumer Affairs) is an independent charity which researches and publishes unbiased information specifically on products and services to enable by older people and disabled people to live more independently.
Its free independent consumer guides cover:
assistive technology in the home;
household products, including central heating controls;
telecoms and alarms;
mobility (cars / car controls and car measurements to help people choose);
childcare products.
These guides assess products for the ease of use by parents with disabilities: baby carriers, bottles, warmers and sterilisers, safety gates, high chairs and pushchairs.
Ricability asks people to cover the postage. Please phone the office if you would like bulk copies or ones in different formats. All the guides are available in full on the web-site.
