Comment: | The Day Centre runs a session on Wednesdays from 9:00am to 3:00pm, specifically for Asian women. Places are limited to ten, but people can be referred onto a waiting list. The Centre aims to provide a relaxed and social environment where people can meet. Activities are planned with client groups and visiting speakers are invited to come along to give talks on specialised fields.
The Community Social Workers, Haroon Kadodia and Hajra Sidhat will come along to interpret if there is a communication barrier. Most clients are Muslim and speak Urdu or Gujarati. |
