Comment:

The Disabled Afloat Riverboats Trust (DART) is a small Gloucestershire based charity which specialises in providing residential boating holidays on canals and rivers for people with disabilities, their carers and families. The holidays are full of activity, with everyone taking part as much as they feel able to do. This can include steering and helping with locks. There are also land based activities such as shopping, evenings at the pub and visits to other places of interest.
Although they no longer run their own boat, this year (2007) they are organising various holidays for disabled people on other boats on the Kennet and Avon Canal, the River Thames and the River Ouse - see their website or contact DART for details.
