Comment: | The Cotswold Water Park comprises over one hundred and forty lakes, each one unique and is located in the upper Thames Valley, south of Cirencester. It offers a range of watersport and land based pursuits eg. angling, canoeing, cycling, sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and walking. There are two country parks, including Keynes Country Park, with picnic and BBQ sites, childrens play area and beach area, plus three nature reserves with bird hides and the Millenium Visitor Centre which has an information point and a gift shop. The Lakeside Cafe is open during the summer months; during the winter snacks and drinks are available in the Millenium visitor centre. Boat hire, bike hire and a High Ropes Course are all available during the summer months. Accomodation facilities include caravanning, self-catering holiday chalets and bed and breakfast.
The Cotswold Park Gateway Centre offers information, hot and cold food at Coot's cafe, a fossil exhibition and toilets; it has full disabled access.
Many of the other venues are also suitable for wheelchair users. |
