Comment: | The Blockley Antiquarian Society aims to encourage public interest in local history, and it co-operates with other bodies having similar interests. It encourages preservation and exhibition of local records, antiquities, and objects of historical interest. It also collects and makes available, material relating to the history of Blockley and its neighbourhood. When the resources of the Society permits, some publications are also undertaken. Lectures cost about £1.00 to attend.
The Society usually meet on a Monday evening, every ten weeks or so, at the Little Village hall. They try to have three days out each year to other places of interest. |
