Comment: | This is a registered charity able to help both Gloucestershire people with disabilities and the organisations that work with and for them - including the Social Services Department.
The Trust has a county-wide welfare grants programme which can help individuals disabled as a result of physical disabilities (including terminal illness), learning disabilities or mental illness. One-off financial help is given where the need cannot be met from statutory funds or other sources and the person cannot afford to help themselves. Examples of need are a washing machine, micro-wave, fridge / freezer, clothing and shoes, disability aids and equipment, spectacles, Motability deposits, disabled facility grants (DFGs) and many more.
There are a number of exclusions, so always check with the office before making an application. Forms available from the office. Telephone enquiries during office hours, 9:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
For grants to individuals, contact Gail Rodway, for organisations contact Christine Ellson. |
