Comment: | For over thirty years the Gloucestershire Youth Service has been providing the following facilities for the benefit of young people, particularly for the use of youth groups, schools etc. For your next course or residential choose one from one of these four locations.
+ Plump Hill Centre For Environmental Education, Mitcheldean, situated in a beautiful valley in the Forest of Dean has facilities for day visit courses which encourage use of the natural environment through first hand practical experiences.
+ The Wilderness Centre, Mitcheldean, is a larger facility offering residential visits for up to 50 people, with the option of either self-catering or full board. The buildings have been refurbished to provide high quality in a spectacular rural setting.
+ Buckstone Adventure Centre, near Coleford, is at one of the highest points of the Forest , with magnificent views. It provides residential visits for up to 20 people, and is particularly suitable for outdoor education, camp crafts, expeditions and treks.
+ Pwll Du Adventure Centre, near Abergavenny, is an ideal base for field studies, general residential courses and outdoor education activities such as mountain training, expedition work and caving. It can accomodate up to 24 people.
