Comment: | The Gloucestershire Multiple Sclerosis Information and Therapy Centre was set up in 1985 by a group of local people with MS who wanted to get together to improve the therapy options in the area, and have access to High Dosage Oxygen Therapy. Since then the Centre has flourished, run largely by volunteers with or without MS, and has developed to offer support to people with MS to enable them to help themselves to the best possible quality of life.
They are an information centre with a wide range of literature from MS and other organisations. They help with form filling and there is free access to the Internet, with help and guidance if needed. If you need help liaising with other agencies (e.g. occupational therapy, workplace, or social services) they will be happy to help.
The Centre is open to anyone with MS, their friends and families (and to those with other neurological illnesses). Therapies are provided by well qualified therapists who understand MS, at prices which are subsidised by fund-raising. |
