Organisation:ForestMobility

Comment:

ForestMobility provides all the benefits of visiting the Royal Forest of Dean, to enjoy the wildlife, trees and flowers while travelling the footpaths and cycle ways; for disabled people, their family, partners and friends. They enable and facilitate disabled rambling for wheel chair users and those with walking difficulties, whilst attracting tourists from all over the UK to The Forest of Dean. They do this by providing rugged off-road versions of the "Shop Mobility" electric scooters along with training in their use and a guiding/chaperone service if required; they utilise the recently renovated Family and Sculpture cycle paths here in The Forest.

A number of local Volunteers will be needed to help run and operate this charitable, friendly and not for profit organisation that they hope will build a "club" atmosphere. If you would like to offer help, perhaps just a couple of hours a week then please contact Peter Wood, in Yorkley Slade, by e-mail with offers of help - [email protected]
