Comment: | Milestone School provides education for pupils aged from two to sixteen years who have special educational needs related to physical, learning, communication and medical difficulties. The guiding principle at Milestone is removing barriers to learning and building independence. Using the National Curriculum as a basis, a broad and balanced range of activities is offered. Strong links are maintained with primary and secondary mainstream schools, with whom there is a regular sharing of curriculum activities. The school offers Total Communication, the Social Use of Language Programme (SULP) and structured teaching.
