Comment:

This is a new organization working in conjunction with the National Phobic's Society (see separate record) to provide information and support for sufferers of anxiety disorders mainly, but not exclusively, in the Asian population. Anxiety Disorders account for much of the mental illness in the Asian Community, but little accessible information is available to the Asian Population. In order to combat this, and help destigmatize mental health in the community, they have set up a multi-lingual website. The website contains much information about anxiety disorders, but if you require further information please e-mail them on [email protected] or [email protected].
There is a variety of fact sheets available for download and purchase in English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi.
Destigmatize.org.uk is aiming to provide a network of support for sufferers of anxiety disorders via the National Phobics Society.
