Comment:

The Stroke Association (TSA) is a national charity, working to support people of all ages affected by stroke. Our services include the Communication Support Service, family and carers' support and the National Stroke Helpline (0845-30-33-100) - calls charged at local rate.
Communication Support aims to help people whose language skills have been affected by a stroke, to attain the maximium possible level of recovery and independance in language skills. The service also aims to improve the quality of their lives by rebuilding self-confidence, improving morale and supporting their families. The service operates using a system of home visits, group work, social events, and groups for carers. People wishing to use the service, find out about local stroke clubs or who are interested in becoming volunteer should contact the Helpline for details of their local centre.
