Organisation:Age Concern Gloucestershire Befriending Service

Comment:

The Visiting Service was started in response to requests from GP's, health visitors, social workers and concerned relatives of older people. Most of the older people who are referred are housebound. This may be because of some physical disability or they are confined to home for fear of going out. Volunteers are specially selected by Age Concern Gloucestershire. They visit on a weekly basis, to chat, share an interest and perhaps give someone an outing in their wheelchair.
Please contact Age Concern for more details, office opening hours: 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday, 9:00am to 3:30pm on Friday.
