Comment: | The Gloucester Hospitals NHS Trust Hydrotherapy Pool is a purpose built hydrotherapy unit. Anyone with a medical condition considered to be suitable for treatment in the Gloucester Hospitals NHS Trust Hydrotherapy Pool may be referred by a Consultant or GP. Patients are assessed by a Physiotherapist before starting treatment, and again after a few sessions to monitor progress and suitability. There are some medical conditions in which hydrotherapy is contra-indicated. Physiotherapy helpers assist patients in and out of the pool and there is a hoist for more disabled patients. The water and surrounding areas are warm.
The Hydrotherapy Pool facility is located in the Physiotherapy Departmant, within the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital complex.
