Comment:

The National Star College is a specialist residential further education college for students, aged sixteen to twenty five, with a physical disability and/or an acquired brain injury. Students come from all over the UK and usually remain at the college for three years, although this can vary. Funding is generally provided through the local Learning and Skills Council, with occasional support from Social Services or Health Authority.
Vocational courses are available within the following areas: Business, Leisure and Tourism, Information Technology, Health and Social Care, Creative Arts, Performing Arts and Sports and Leisure. Pre-vocational courses are also available - at Entry level (Skills for Working Life) and pre-Entry (Skills for Adult Life).
The College has a strong team of therapists, trained support workers facilitating care and educational needs and twenty four hour nursing care. All students are involved in developing an individual time-table to suit their highly specific needs.
There are also non-residential courses for adults (sixteen plus) with a disability living in Gloucestershire.
Please contact the college direct for further information.
