Comment:

Orienteering is open to all. There are competitive classes for those aged from ten to seventy five plus. It involves navigation on detailed maps between points determined by the course planner. Trail Orienteering, has been developed which concentrates on the mental exercise of being able to relate the map to the terrain and speed is of no relevance. Orienteering is suitable for any age, for the less physically able, or people with some permanent physical disability. Many permanent courses have at least one route for the less able.
