Organisation:Highnam and District Day Centre

Comment:

This small Day Centre group meets on the third Wednesday of each month at the Old School in Highnam - telephone Mrs. Whisson to establish next date. People mainly come from the Highnam area and other surrounding villages. Numbers are limited so there may be a waiting list, especially if lunch is required. Opening hours are 10:30am to 3:30pm, but some members attend only in the afternoon for the entertainment and social contact which starts at 1:45pm. Morning coffee and afternoon tea are also provided at no extra cost. The group is affiliated to Age Concern, and sometimes are able to obtain guest speakers through them. A car service may be possible, through Mrs. Whisson. Special outings and Christmas lunch are usually organised.
