Organisation:Noise Abatement Society

Comment:

The Noise Abatement Society (NAS) offers advice and information on matters concerned with noise - from noisy neighbours to industrial noise safety levels, from train horns to late night lawnmowing. They run a helpline on 0800-389-1380, open from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
They run various initiatives, such as SoundSense - an initiative which aims to moderate late night pub and club noise. By assisting pubs and clubs to make clients aware of local residents need, we encourage them to become good neighbours - and an annual award in memory of John Connell OBE, their founder, to the Local Authority which in the trustees' opinion has done most to mediate and settle conflicts arising out of noise complaints.
