Comment: | The Gloucester Association for Voluntary and Community Action (GAVCA) exists to support and promote the voluntary and community sector within the City of Gloucester, Cheltenham and throughout the County (see separate records). GAVCA is based on its membership of local voluntary and community organisations and offers a wide range of support and services to both new and established groups. Services include:
+ funding advice and support;
+ a volunteer centre;
+ training courses;
+ office services (photocopying, binding, etc);
+ meeting room facilities;
+ answering information requests from groups;
+ ICT Support for voluntary organisations in Gloucester or Cheltenham - contact John Gray (01452-332424).
GAVCA's quarterly LINK newsletter provides news and information on local and national issues for the voluntary sector, and is distributed free to voluntary and community groups in Gloucester and Cheltenham.
