Comment:

Occupational therapists (OT's) operate as problem solvers working with carers, disabled people and care professionals, to improve the quality of life in the community. Occupational therapists are based at various locations throughout Gloucestershire. OT's assess people for equipment and adaptations, and also offer advice regarding employment, leisure activities, suppliers and funding. Equipment that is no longer used must be handed in for circulation to other people. Demand is high, so waiting lists can vary.

Initial contact for new requests for OT is via the Gloucestershire County Council - Social Services' Adult Helpdesk on 01452-426868.
