Organisation:MusicSpace Trust

Comment:

The MusicSpace Trust is dedicated to the provision of therapy through music to children and adults with a wide range of problems and disabilities, and to providing a wider understanding of the benefits of music therapy in the UK. The MusicSpace Trust is a unique concept which has evolved in response to the change towards community care by establishing centres for music therapy outside the more traditional settings of hospitals and schools.
The first centre opened in Bristol in 1991, a second in Nottingham in 1995, and other centres have since opened in other parts of the country including Liverpool, Hampshire and the West Midlands.
MusicSpace offers:
+ therapy - music therapy on a one-to-one or group basis in the community;
+ research - into the wider use and benefits of music therapy.
