Comment: | The Capio Winfield Hospital is a member of Capio Healthcare UK, and is a private, acute surgical and medical hospital situated on the outskirts of Gloucester. The hospital has forty three beds, thirty three of which are single bedrooms. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, direct dial telephone and T.V. and there are also facilities for mothers and children. Elective surgery is performed on children over three years old.
There are two main operating theatres and a four-bed day surgery unit with endoscopy facilities. Other facilities include: physiotherapy including a sports injury clinic, hydrotherapy, continence clinic, T.L.O.1 (ultraviolet treatment for skin conditions), laser treatment for hair removal, and back school. X-ray including ultrasound, MRI, CT, DEXA (Osteoporosis screening) and dental x-ray, eleven consulting rooms of which two are dedicated to opthalmology and ENT, and two treatment rooms.
The Capio Winfield Hospital is recognised by all major health insurers. For patients without private medical insurance, the hospital operates a fixed cost care scheme for surgery.
