Comment: | The Outsiders Club is a self help group of people who have become emotionally isolated through their disability, whatever that may be. Members are offered a chance to contact other people, practice socialising and gain confidence. Started in 1979, many people have found friends and partners through the Outsiders Club. Application form available on request should be filled in by applicant, unless special difficulties exist. Monthly lunches are held in London and Birmingham, and bi-monthly in Ipswich. A Postal Library is available to Outsiders Club members. Personal details are treated in strictest confidence.
There is an Outsiders helpline on 0871-424-9935. The Outsiders also run a Sex and Disability helpline on 070-7499-3527 - open weekdays 11:00am to 7:00pm. You can also write with your queries to Dr. Tuppy Owens, BCM Box Lovely, London WC1N 3XX (please enclose a SAE) or e-mail: [email protected].
Please note - The Outsiders Club has not provided GUiDE with any update information since 2005; this record may no longer be accurate |
