Organisation:Workability Project - Leonard Cheshire

Comment:

This project, which will be managed by Leonard Cheshire but will involve a number of other organisations, aims to provide unemployed disabled people aged nineteen to sixty with recycled computers. The computers will be able to operate Windows XP and the Internet, and training will also be provided. The aim is to help people to find paid employment, or work in the voluntary sector. Recipients will be aged nineteen to sixty five years and must meet certain criteria. A feature of the scheme will be a network of computer volunteers to provide encouragement and support.
