Comment: | Joint Community Equipment Services (CES) provide a range of equipment to assist with daily living, independence and home nursing to occupational therapists (OT's), physiotherapists (PT's) and District Nurses (DN's) throughout Gloucestershire via both Health and Social Services. People requiring equipment have their needs assessed by OT/PT/DN's who then authorise an issue request to the CES store managed by GISHealthcare. Equipment is delivered to people to use at home e.g. after hospital discharge or to support social care in the community.
Equipment supplied includes commodes, walking frames, bathing and toilet aids, beds, pressure care matresses and short term loan wheelchairs. Equipment is only issued after clinical assessment of needs (according to specific issuing criteria) to a particular individual with written and verbal instructions.
When the equipment is no longer required it should be returned by phoning GIS Healthcare on 01452-520438 who will collect it.
N.B. The equipment service does not provide domestic equipment that would be part of normal home furnishings. |
