The Gloucestershire Deaf Association (GDA) provides a lifeline for the profoundly deaf and hard of hearing communities of Gloucestershire.
It provides:
+ a range of equipment to support hearing impaired people (incl wireless doorbells, strobe-light doorbells, mini-text machines + headphones/neck-loops, cordless headphones for TV , amplifiers for mobile phones);
+ support for older people;
+ services for young people;
+ an information service;
+ pastoral and spiritual care;
+ group activities;
+ a community centre, which is a good base for sports and social activities;
+ a communication support unit where interpreters, etc. are provided;
+ fundraising and volunteer support.
