The British Red Cross gives skilled and impartial care to people in need and crisis in their own homes and in the community, at home or abroad, in peace time and in war time. A range of short term services are offered by local branches including medical equipment loan, transport and escort of people who are too frail or disabled to travel alone, First Aid provision at public events and gentle therapeutic care massagesfor people in hospitals, carers, those recovering from strokes, etc. Some branches provide additional services such as daycare, skin camouflage, and short term care in the home.
