Comment:

The Gloucestershire Neighbourhood College offers high quality, enjoyable learning opportunities at the heart of local communities, usually based in or around the Neighbourhood Projects to which they relate. Local residents decide what they want to learn, how and when they want to do it - they know they won't be pushed into doing anything they are not ready to do.
The Neighbourhood Colleges offer a range of in-house computer courses, from short intro and NICAS courses to nationally recognised qualifications like the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) and Computer Literacy and Information Technology (CLAIT). They also offer recreational courses from hobby classes to more practical learning.
College staff also provide a complete information, advice and guidance service, which helps each student develop an action plan and chart development and progression. Information, support and advice is given throughout. All courses are free or at very low cost and most of the learning centres offer crèche and childcare facilities free or at low cost.
