Comment: | The Horseshoe Club is a small Club consisting of local, older people - though they welcome anyone wishing for company and a chat; one member comes from as far afield as Berkeley. They meet on the fourth Monday in each month 2:30 to 5:00pm, and have a small spread of food including jellies, sandwhiches, cakes and drinks. They avarage around ten or twelve people, and usually meet in Mrs. Maules House and hold a competition and a raffle which costs 50p. The main aim of the club is to get people out of their homes and into a social environment - it is very relaxed, aimed at making sure everyone has a pleasant time.
The club has been active for over twenty five years. |
